Born and raised in Portugal, she has traveled all over the world. She is the mother of two of today's most talented Portuguese musicians and keeps secret recipes she inherited from her grandmother.
An unconditional fan of this very Portuguese style of being and living—of sitting and lingering at the table to talk about everything in life—she created Mesaluisa so that everyone can experience the magic of gathering stories around the most authentic of tastings.

From my grandmother's house, I will never forget the table always set, ready to welcome whoever showed up, the unique tasting recipes, the scents that never repeat, and the infinite stories exchanged in that dining room.
It is this way of life that I want to share with my guests, but also the experience that leads you to the table. Because a meal begins at the moment when, faced with such fresh fish, we decide how we are going to cook it, when we think about who the guests are, and also what time of year it is.
